The Algerian Olympic Committee (COA) has posthumously awarded its Order of Merit to journalist Ali Fodhil.
He worked as the chief executive of the Echourouk media group and was recognised in a ceremony held at the country's Olympic Museum in capital Algiers.
Fodhil's family members were among those present, as were his colleagues in the media.
COA President Mustapha Berraf, who is also the President of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa, was another to attend.
Fodhil died at the age of 63 in October, following a heart attack.
After the ceremony, Berraf presented to the media on the COA's activities during 2019.
