Lausanne 2020 has launched its mobile app which, they claim, will allow Winter Youth Olympic Games fans to follow the action in real time.
The app, which will also enable people to create their own schedule and participate in on-line games, is available for free on the Apple Store and Google Play.
The Lausanne 2020 mobile app has been designed to provide all necessary information on a single platform for visitors to optimise their experience during the Games, due to open on January 9 and last until January 22, Swiss officials hope.
The app features real-time broadcast of all the latest information and results.
Users will have the possibility to follow competitions live and on replay, to access the competition schedule and that of cultural activities with the possibility of saving their favourites and, therefore, creating their own agenda for the Games, to access the latest news regarding Lausanne 2020.
The app will also enable users to intuitively establish their itinerary by public transportation to each competition venues through a link redirecting them to the transportation "Guide Me Yodli" app developped by tl, the public transportation company of Lausanne.
The Lausanne 2020 app is also home to the "Live Trivia", a special quiz allowing everyone to take part in the overall ranking of athletes.
The winner of this game will receive a free trip to Tokyo to attend this year's Olympic Games.
