Switzerland’s Joos Berry and Fanny Smith celebrated victories at the International Ski Federation Freestyle Ski Cross World Cup in Innichen.

Races were able to take place today at the Italian resort following the cancellation of yesterday’s competition.

The cancellation had seen Canada's Kevin Drury and France's Marielle Berger Sabbatel be awarded victories after they had topped the qualification standings.

Neither were able to advance to the finals of today’s competition.

Berry emerged as the winner of the men’s event following an impressive series of races.

The Swiss skier won his quarter-final race, before finishing second in the semi-final stage of the competition.

Berry held off the challenge of France’s Bastien Midol to win the final, marking the second World Cup win of his career.

Switzerland’s Jonas Lenherr rounded off the podium places, with France’s Francois Place missing out in fourth place.

There was further success for Switzerland in the women’s event, where Smith emerged as the winner.

The Pyeongchang 2018 bronze medallist triumphed in the final ahead of Canada’s Marielle Thompson.

The bronze medal was claimed by Germany’s Daniela Maier, with Sweden’s Sandra Näslund forced to settle for fourth.

The World Cup season is due to continue next month in Nakiska.

Competition is scheduled to take place at the Canadian venue on January 17 and 18.

Yesterday's event had confirmed Drury and Näslund as the winners of the FIS Ski Cross Alps Tour.
