Canada's Kevin Drury continued his impressive form to finish top of the men's qualification standings at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Cross World Cup in Innichen in Italy.

Drury, who leads the overall FIS Ski Cross World Cup standings having won two of this season's four races, clocked a time of 1min 16.90sec.

Germany's Florian Wilmsmann finished second in 1:17.16, while France's Jonathan Midol came third in 1:17.25.

The top 32 competitors qualified for tomorrow's finals.

Drury holds a 30-point lead in the World Cup standings ahead of fellow Canadian Kristofor Mahler, who ranked 21st today.

Switzerland's Ryan Regez is 65 points off the pace in third, but just missed out on qualification today after finishing 34th.

In women's qualification, France's Marielle Berger Sabbatel led the 16 qualifiers for tomorrow's finals with a time of 1:19.90.

Sweden's Sandra Näslund was runner-up in 1:20.10, while Canada's Brittany Phelan ranked third in 1:20.16.

Näslund leads the overall World Cup standings on 320 points.

She has a 41-point advantage over nearest challenger Marielle Thompson of Canada.

Thompson qualified in fifth place today behind Switzerland's reigning overall champion Fanny Smith, who is third in the overall standings with 261 points.

Men's and women's events are due to take place tomorrow and on Sunday (December 22).
