South Korea's Lee Dae-hoon claimed the men's under-68 kilograms title, as action began today at the World Taekwondo Grand Slam Champions Series in Chinese city Wuxi.

The three-time world champion beat home favourite Zhao Shuai 3-0 in the final at the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Centre.

He had earlier defeated another Chinese competitor, Lin Wenye, 2-0 in the semi-finals.

Lin bounced back from that loss to overcome Great Britain's Christian McNeish on golden point in the bronze-medal match.

Today's other men's final saw Russia's Maksim Khramtcov complete a hat-trick of under-80kg titles since the Grand Slam Champions Series' inception in 2017.

The 21-year-old registered a 3-0 win over South Korea's Hwan Namgoong.

Uzbekistan's Nikita Rafalovich beat Azerbaijan's Milad Beigi Harchegani 3-1 in the bronze-medal match.

Also producing a podium-topping performance today was Croatia's Matea Jelić in the women's under-67kg category.

Jelić defeated compatriot Doris Pole 2-0 in the final.

Completing the top three was China's Guo Yunfei, following her 1-0 victory at the expense of compatriot Zhang Mengyu.

Action in Wuxi is due to continue tomorrow.

Medals are scheduled to be awarded in the women's under-49kg, women's under-57kg and men's over-80kg divisions.
