The men's sprint honours at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Cross-Country World Cup in Davos have gone to Norway's Johannes Høsflot Klæbo.

Norwegians dominated the event in the Swiss mountains, with three of the six finalists, and Klæbo delivered his 30th World Cup victory.

France's Lucas Chanavat finished second, with Norway's Håvard Solås Taugbøl in third.

"It is very cool to have Håvard on the podium and I think everyone in Norway is happy today," Klæbo said.

Klæbo retains the lead in the sprint World Cup standings.

In the women's sprint, Sweden's Linn Svahn took top honours, becoming the fourth-youngest winner of a World Cup race in cross-country skiing. 

The 20-year-old pulled off a shock victory, pushing Norway's Maiken Caspersen Falla into second place, with American Sophie Caldwell rounding out the podium.

It was just Svahn's second World Cup start 

The Davos World Cup weekend ends with the women's 10km and men's 15km freestyle tomorrow.
