The details of the IESF athletes' representative election have been announced ©IESF

The location and date of the International Esports Federation (IESF) athletes' representatives election has been announced. 

The election is scheduled for Friday (November 13) morning at the VSG Arena in the South Korean capital of Seoul. 

It will be held during the IESF World Championships, which began today and run until Sunday (December 15). 

Nominations closed today, with certain restrictions on those who can be elected. 

Retiring Players' Commission members who have made themselves available are able to, as are those nominated by the various national federation's players' representatives.

If there are not sufficient nominations made by the players' representatives, any player competing in the World Championships that are willing to stand are able to do so. 

Fifty per cent of the six-person commission will be female, with only one representative per country allowed. 

Only the players' representatives, or their nominee, is able to vote. 

"IESF is proud of the contribution made by the members of the inaugural commission," said IESF President Colin Webster.

"All members worked well during their term of office and have created a culture within the commission that will ensure that all esports athletes are protected."
