USA Taekwondo has held a two-session coaching master class at the National Center of Excellence in Colorado Springs.
The opening session took place on November 18 and 19, while the second took place yesterday and today.
It was the first in a series of world-class seminars with legendary coach and USA Taekwondo coaching director Paul Green.
Green, currently and historically, has proven to develop medal-winning taekwondo athletes and is one of the most successful coaches in the world.
Among these is two-time Olympic champion Jade Jones of Great Britain.
As USA Taekwondo works to bring in new programmes and move closer to becoming a dominant country on the global stage, developing the best coaches in the world is seen as a step to reaching that objective.
The cutting-edge seminar included advanced coaching methodology and designing annual plans specific to taekwondo athletes of all skill levels.
It was an opportunity for coaches to augment their coaching skill-set and style to fit all athletes.
All those who took the course became level two certified upon successful completion of the programme.
The fee for the seminar was waived to the "All-American Coaches" who were announced at this year’s national championships, held in Minneapolis from June 28 to July 4, due to their success.
The top 50-ranked coaches in the USA Taekwondo coach rankings had priority registration and a discounted rate.
Participants had to be at least a level one coach with an active USA Taekwondo membership.
