The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) will host a National Olympic Committees (NOC) meeting prior to the Southeast Asian Games in the nation.

The Southeast Asian National Olympic Committees Women in Sports summit will take place at the La Bella Boutique Hotel in Tagaytay City from November 27 to 28.

It is set to be attended by key women from 11 Southeast Asian countries and will be held on the eve of the Southeast Asian Games, which begin on November 30.

Myanmar’s women and sports federation President Khin Khin Lay, Singapore National Olympic Committee secretary Grace Ching, Cambodia NOC heads Prak Somphas and Srey Sivleng, and Laos NOC Women in Sports committee member Chittakone Chanthamalin are among those due to attend.

Mikaela Cojuangco Jaworski, the Philippine representative on the International Olympic Committee (IOC), will share updates on the IOC Solidarity programmes and initiatives on women and sports.

At the same venue, the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) members will converging to discuss the role, participation and chances of women in sports in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

SEAGF Chairperson Karen Caballero of the Philippines will preside over the meeting.
