Mizuno has been named as the official sport shoe supplier of the Australian Paralympic team for Tokyo 2020.

The partnership is a first for the brand in Australia and will see them fit out more than 400 athletes and staff with their uniform shoe.

"The partnership with Mizuno is a new and exciting one for us and we’re thrilled to be wearing Mizuno shoes on our journey to Tokyo 2020," Paralympics Australia chief executive Lynne Anderson said.

"Mizuno’s range of sporting shoes are well known for providing the best fit and comfort, which will be so important for our Paralympic athletes and staff, whether moving to and from competition or around the Paralympic Village.

"As per Mizuno’s slogan, we’re confident our team will love the unique design of the shoes and will help them 'reach beyond' to new heights at the Games next year."

"Mizuno’s new brand slogan, 'REACH BEYOND', and our philosophy as a brand to motivate, help and support athletes on a dedicated journey toward their goals, fits perfectly with Paralympics Australia's pursuit of 'sporting excellence' for all.

"With the 2020 Paralympic Games held in our home country of Japan, we are incredibly proud to be the official sport shoe supplier of the 2020 Australian Paralympic team."

Mizuno, whose ambassadors include Australian Para-triathlete Jonathan Goerlach, was founded in Japanese city Osaka in 1906 and has a proud history in providing the highest quality sporting goods.
