The two-day course took place in Egyptian capital Cairo ©World Taekwondo

Over 200 coaches attended World Taekwondo's first certification course, held in the Egyptian capital Cairo.

The event attracted 223 participants from 13 countries, including 50 coaches from Egypt and 73 from Arab and African nations.

Anti-doping and ethics were among the main topics on the agenda for the two-day course.

Safeguarding, medical and emergency care and mental health awareness were also discussed.

The event was the first to be held by World Taekwondo and gave coaches the opportunity to be trained in the key areas.

Amr Selim, President of the Egypt Taekwondo Federation, gave a speech during the Opening Ceremony.

Selim also thanked the worldwide governing body for their "continuous support and patronage".
