China eased into the semi-finals of the Blind Football Asian Championships in Pattaya, overcoming India in their second group match.

The defending champions had eased to an 8-0 win over South Korea yesterday at the Pattaya Youth Center.

India proved a sterner test in their second Group A game, but China still secured a 5-0 victory.

The result saw China seal a place in the semi-finals with a match to spare.

Thailand joined China in the last four, after recording their second win of the tournament.

The hosts recorded a 4-0 victory over South Korea.

China and Thailand will meet in the final group match to determine which team advances as the Group A winners.

Iran and Japan will do the same in Group B tomorrow, with all four semi-finalists still yet to concede a goal.

Malaysia and tournament debutants Oman, who have already been eliminated, met in their final Group B match today.

The Malaysian team celebrated a narrow 1-0 victory.

Competition will continue tomorrow, with the group stage set to conclude.

The semi-finals matches will be key at the International Blind Sports Federation tournament, set to run until Sunday (October 6).

As well as the chance to play for the continental title, the two finalists will book their place at next year's Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

Japan have already qualified for Tokyo 2020 as host nation, so the third-placed side will reach the Paralympics if they get to the final.
