The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has announced that worldwide tickets and packages for Tokyo 2020 will be available tomorrow.

CoSport is the global authorised ticket reseller for the Paralympic Games, which will run between August 25 and September 6 next year, and also offer packages for the Olympics.

"As any Paralympian or sports fan can tell you, there are few opportunities more awe-inspiring or exhilarating than attending the Paralympic Games," said Alexis Schaefer, the IPC's commercial, broadcasting and partnership director.

"With less than one year to go, Tokyo 2020 is on course to deliver the greatest Paralympic Games yet and we are delighted to invite international sport fans to enjoy this once-in-lifetime experience with CoSport."

Schaefer added that there had been "unprecedented" demand for Paralympic tickets in host nation Japan after a domestic lottery opened there on August 22.

This will run through until September 9, with those successful informed by October 2.

"We expect there to be similar interest from international spectators when tickets go on sale with CoSport," Schaefer said.

Another ticket lottery is due to be held in Japan in early 2020 before a first come, first served process in the spring.

"CoSport invites fans of sport, Tokyo and the Paralympic Movement to be part of the extraordinary with tickets to one of the greatest competitions in the world," said the company's President Robert F. Long. 

"This includes hotel and ticket packages which simplify attending the Games so fans can make the most of their experience."
