The official poster for this year's World Sambo Championships in Seoul has been revealed.

Organisers have unveiled a design which features two sambists grappling on a yellow background.

Sketches of the sea, trees, mountains and clouds are also included, as well as birds.

The World Championships, taking place from November 8 to 10, will see sambists fight for medals in 27 weight categories in the South Korean capital.

This includes nine for men, nine for women and nine for combat sambo.

The event's logo was also unveiled earlier this month.

It has been designed in the style of South Korea's national flag "Taegukgi" and represents a battle of two sambists, captured from above.

The logo has been included on the poster.

Last year's edition of the World Sambo Championships was held in Romania's capital Bucharest.

Russia comfortably finished top of the medal table with 15 golds.

Sambo is a martial art and combat sport developed and used by the Soviet Red Army in the early 1920s to improve their hand-to-hand combat abilities.
