Top seed Kim Jungjun progressed to the semi-finals of the men's WH2 competition at the Para-Badminton World Championships in Basel.

The South Korean produced a strong performance at the St. Jakobshalle in the Swiss city.

He overcame China's Jianpeng Mai 21-12, 21-8 in their quarter-final.

Jungjun now faces Japan's Atsuya Watanabe in the last four.

Watanabe came from a game down to earn a 13-21, 21-14, 21-19 victory over England's Martin Rooke.

Tournament second seed Ho Yuen Chan justified his status as one of the favourites by progressing to the last four.

The Hong Kong player secure a 21-11, 21-16 win over China's Xin Zhao.

He now plays South Korea's Kyung Hoon Kim, who beat Amir Levi from Israel, 21-9, 21-9.

In the men's WH1 event, China's Tony Yang beat India's Prem Kumar Ale 21-12, 21-10 to make the semi-finals.

Yang will play South Korea's Dong Seop Lee, who earned a 21-10, 21-12 victory over Germany's Young-Chin Mi.

Jung Man Choi, also of South Korea, overcame Thailand's Jakarin Homhual in his quarter-final.

He will now meet China's Qu Zimao, a 21-12, 21-12 winner against Malaysia's Muhammad Ikhwan Ramli.
