The top four seeds at the World Squash Federation Junior Team Championship have all eased their way into the semi-finals in Kuala Lumpur.

Egypt, Malaysia, Hong Kong and England - ranked first through to fourth respectively - all earned wins by three matches to zero in their quarter-finals at the National Squash Centre in Malaysia's capital.

Egypt beat 10th seeds Australia, while England saw off sixth ranked India, and those to teams are due to clash in tomorrow's final four matches.

Hosts Malaysia beat eighth seeds Switzerland, while Hong Kong defeated fifth seeds United States, and they will battle for the other final place.

Earlier, those eight teams moved through the final group stage games in the afternoon session, where seventh seeds Canada were the highest profile casualties.

They needed to beat Malaysia today having suffered a shock loss to Australia in their opening match, but were beaten 3-0.

The best match came between England and the US in Pool D, which the English won 2-1 after a series of tight encounters.

American Marina Stefanoni came from two games down in the opening game to beat Elise Lazarus and Olivia Robinson had two match balls in the fifth game to bneat Alice Green and guarantee top spot.

Green battled back, however, and won the decider 17-15 to level the match before Evie Coxon won the decider and crucially avoided a clash for England with Hong Kong in the last eight.

Competition is due to continue tomorrow ahead of the team final on Friday (August 9).
