Mostafa Asal remains on course for his second successive World Squash Federation Junior Championships title after ending Lewis Anderson's dream run at the semi-final stage in Kuala Lumpur.

Englishman Anderson, the first unseeded semi-finalist for 15 years, had already beaten three seeded players at the National Squash Centre in Malaysia's capital before facing the Egyptian number one seed today.

Asal proved to be a class above Anderson's conquests, however, as he claimed a 11-5, 11-5, 11-2 victory in just 28 minutes to end Anderson's dreams.

There will be all-Egyptian finals in both the men's and women's competitions, with Asal set to face compatriot and 3/4 seed Mostafa El Serty.

In contrast to Asal, El Serty needed more than an hour to win a five-game thriller as he upset number two seed Omar El Torkey.

El Serty won the opening game 11-8, but fell behind as El Torkey won the subsequent two games 11-6, 12-10.

El Serty would not be denied, though, and won the two remaining sets 11-8, 11-7 to complete an incredible win in 63 minutes.

In the women's competition, top seed Hania El Hammamy reached her third World Junior Championships final in succession by defeating fellow Egyptian and 3/4 seed Farida Mohamed.

Mohamed had been looking to emulate her older sister, 2014 champion Habiba, but El Hammamy saw her off in four games to win 11-8, 11-6, 4-11, 11-3.

El Hammamy is set to face second seed Jana Shiha in tomorrow's final after she ended the hopes of the final remaining Malaysian in her home tournament, 3/4 seed Aifa Azman.

Azman had won the two previous encounters between the players.

But Shiha gained her revenge in an epic encounter lasting 64 minutes and which went the full five-game distance.

Shiha dropped to her haunches in joy after saving three match balls on her way to a 10-12, 14-12, 2-11, 15-13, 11-7 victory.
