The International Equestrian Federation Eventing Nations Cup season is set to resume in the Irish town of Cappoquin tomorrow with Sweden striving to increase their lead in the overall standings.

After three legs, the Swedes are setting the pace on 215 points.

Italy are five points behind in second spot, while Switzerland, The Netherlands and Germany are a further 10 back in joint third.

Great Britain, France, Belgium, Spain and Poland complete the 10 teams in the standings, in that order.

Last time out in Strzegom in Poland, Germany triumphed ahead of Britain and The Netherlands.

Three-time Olympic gold medallist Michael Jung led the way for the Germans, topping the individual standings.

Medals are due to be awarded at the County Waterford venue in Cappoquin on Saturday (July 27).

It will follow competition days tomorrow and on Friday (July 26).
