Paralympic silver medallist Lucyna Kornobys broke the world record in the women's discus F33 at her home World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Bydgoszcz in Poland.

Kornobys, second in the shot put F34 at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, threw 19.31 metres to claim the gold medal at Zdzisław Krzyszkowiak Stadium.

She led a Polish sweep of the podium as Joanna Oleksiuk took silver on 13.22m and Martyna Marchewka earned bronze with a best of 9.66m.

Paralympic silver medallist Michal Derus was among the other victors for the host nation as he topped the podium in the men's 100m T46/47.

Derus clocked 10.92sec to edge out Danas Sodaitis of Lithuania and compatriot Michał Majchrzak, silver and bronze medallists, respectively.

Dutchwoman Fleur Jong won the women's 100m T62 as she beat Spain’s Sara Andres in a head-to-head battle in 13.94.

Ivan Lukashevic of Belarus triumphed in the men's T11-13 1,500m in a field which also included Poland's European champion Aleksander Kossakowski.

The Belarusian T13 racer claimed gold in a time of 4min 07.11sec as Kossakowski finished outside of the medals.
