Argentina, Serbia and the United States all finished the group phase with unbeaten records as action resumed today at the International Basketball Federation Under-19 World Cup in Greek city Heraklion.

The Serbs made it three wins out of three in Group D thanks to a 85-76 win over France at Heraklion Indoor Sports Arena.

They finished ahead of their opponents with China third and Puerto Rico fourth.

China edged Puerto Rico 99-94 today at Heraklion University Sports Hall.

In Group A, the US completed a perfect campaign by beating Senegal 87-58.

New Zealand clinched second place with a 77-75 victory over Lithuania, who had to settle for third place ahead of Senegal.

In Group C, Argentina defeated hosts Greece 73-68 for a third win in as many outings. 

Russia finished second after overcoming the Philippines 92-64. 

Group B saw Canada claim top spot after beating Latvia 78-76.

Mali, who led the standings at the start of the day, dropped to third place after losing 82-79 against Australia.

Canada, Australia and Mali all finished on two victories from three matches, with winless Latvia coming fourth.

The round of 16 includes games between the US and Latvia, Russia and China, Lithuania and Australia, and the Philippines and Serbia.

The other four matches see New Zealand face Mali, Argentina meet Puerto Rico, Senegal go up against Canada and Greece do battle with France.

All those ties are scheduled to take place tomorrow.
