Germany's Daniel Deusser will look to capitalise on his home victory last week with another triumph at the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) event in Cannes.

Deusser moved into the overall LGCT lead last week after his dominant performance in Hamburg, sitting on 155 points.

Belgium's Pieter Devos is not far behind him, however, and will attempt to overcome the ten point deficit that currently separates the two riders.

Hoping to gain on the top two will be reigning 2018 LGCT Champion of Champions, Britain's Ben Maher, third with 106 points.

Sweden's Peder Fredricson was the victor last year in Cannes and returns to defend his title.

Such a strong line up befits the name of the competition's venue, City of Stars.

In the Global Champions League, Shanghai Swans head the standings, but are just five points ahead of Saint Tropez Pirates.

Miami Celtics are in third, seven points further adrift.

The winners of both events are set to be decided tomorrow.

Cannes is the seventh stop of 20 in this year's LGCT season.

It is the first of four French stops, however, with the competition also set to visit Paris, Chantilly and Saint Tropez.
