Australia, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands and the United States all claimed two wins on the second and final day of individual time trials at the International Cycling Union (UCI) Para-cycling Road World Cup in Ostend in Belgium.

Darren Hicks and Paige Greco secured Australia's triumphs with success in the men’s C2 and women's C3 events, respectively.

Hicks prevailed in 40 min 16.77sec, while Greco came out on top in 29:35.80.

Germany’s victories came courtesy of Michael Teuber in the men’s C1 in 28:22.10 and Matthias Schindler in the men’s C3 in 39:58.65, while Great Britain's gold medallists were Katie Toft in the women’s C1 in 35:55.82 and George Peasgood in the men’s C4 in 38:38.72.

There were also a pair of wins for the Netherlands – Vincent Ter Schure and Timo Fransen in the men’s B in 45:34.18, and Daniel Abraham Gebru in the men’s C5 in 37:29.35 – as well as the US, thanks to Samantha Bosco in the women’s C5 in 42:14.37 and Shawn Morelli in the women’s C4 in 43:19.67.

Among today's other podium toppers was Colombia’s Daniela Carolina Munevar Flórez in the women’s C2 in 31:43.86.

Completing the list of victors were Ireland’s Katie-George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal in the women’s B in 39:12.26.

The first of two days of individual road races is scheduled for tomorrow.

The event in Ostend is the second round of the UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup and follows the opener in Corridonia in Italy last week.
