Argentina extended to six consecutive games their winning streak in the women's International Hockey Federation (FIH) Pro League with a 3-1 victory against New Zealand at Estadio Mundialista in Rosario.

The visitors scored first through team captain Stacey Michelsen but Agostina Alonso equalised before half-time. 

Julieta Jankunas and Eugenia Trinchinetti then sealed three points for the hosts in the final quarter, enabling them to move level with the Netherlands at the top of the standings.

Argentina's men edged past New Zealand 4-3. 

Matias Paredes gave Argentina the lead in the opening two minutes before Maico Casella and Martin Ferreiro made it 3-0.

Sam Lane then scored twice for the Kiwis but Frederico Fernandez put the hosts 4-2 up. 

George Muir pulled a goal back in the final quarter but Argentina held on. 

The Netherlands secured a 4-0 win against Spain in Rotterdam, Roel Bovendeert, Mirco Pruijser, Lars Balk and Arjen Lodewijks scoring. 

The next FIH Pro League fixture will be tomorrow in the women's competition, when the Netherlands will host the United States.
