Hungary’s world silver medallist Daniel Bali topped mixed pairs qualifying alongside partner Fanni Mazacs today at the International Gymnastics Federation Aerobic World Cup in Cantanhede.
On the first day of senior World Cup action in the Portuguese city, the pair scored 21.850 to qualify for Sunday’s final in comfortable fashion at Os Marialvas Sports Hall.
Eleven pairs made it through from countries including Russia, Germany and Romania.
Brazilian duo Lucas Santiago Barbosa and Tamires Rebeca Silva scored 21.450 points to qualify second, while Bulgaria’s Antonio Papazov and Anna Maria Stoilova finished third on 21.200.

Russia and Romania each had two teams advance to the final.
Anton Shishigin and Natalyia Tereshina from Russia's second team finished fifth, while Romania’s teams were sixth and seventh.
Russia’s first team scraped through in 10th with a score of 19.600.
