Switzerland's Andri Ragettli will make his return from injury in Quebec as he bids to win the Freestyle Skiing World Cup's overall big air title.

Action at the season-ending event begins tomorrow in Canada with 20-year-old Ragettli currently leading the men's standings.

He has tallied 160 points after winning the first leg of the campaign in Cardrona in New Zealand and then bagging bronze second-up in Modena.

Norway's Birk Ruud, the winner in Modena, is Ragettli's nearest challenger going into the third and final stop in Quebec with a total of 150 points.

There are 100 points available for a victory but Ragettli might not be at full fitness after tearing ligaments at the Winter X Games in Aspen seven weeks ago.

He will compete in Quebec, however, as he bids to win the overall big air World Cup title for the first time.

Canada's Evan McEachran is third overall as things stand, with 119 points.

Both the freestyle skiing and snowboard big air World Cup campaigns will end in Quebec.

In the women's ski event, Canada's Cardrona champion Elena Gaskell leads the standings heading into her home competition.

The 17-year-old sits on 150 points with American Caroline Clare on 109.

Switzerland's Olympic slopestyle silver medallist Mathilde Gremaud is third with 100 after winning in Modena.

Four legs have been held during the snowboard big air season with a stop in Chinese capital Beijing also taking place.

With 1,000 points on offer for a win, Japan's 17-year-old Takeru Otsuka is on top of the men's pile on 2,600 after victory in Modena and two silver medals.

Newly-crowned world slopestyle champion Chris Corning of the United States is second on 2,090.

An intriguing battle has emerged for the women's snowboard crown as Japan's Reira Iwabuchi and Miyabi Onitsuka both have 2,400 points to share the lead.

Seventeen-year-old Iwabuchi won in Cardrona and Modena, while former slopestyle world champion Onitsuka has finished second at all three events.

Qualifying will begin the action tomorrow.
