Dormagen is set to play host to the United World Wrestling (UWW) Grand Prix of Germany this weekend with 10 senior women's freestyle titles on offer for the competing athletes.
Following today's draw, competition is scheduled to be held across Saturday and Sunday (February 23 and 24) at the TSV Sportscenter.
The weight categories are 50 kilograms, 53kg, 55kg, 57kg, 59kg, 62kg, 65kg, 68kg, 72kg and 76kg.
The top three wrestlers in each weight category will be awarded cups and certificates.
There are also cups for the teams that rank first, second and third.
The best team of the tournament will receive the Hans-von-Zons-Challenge Cup.
All finals will take place on Sunday.
As reported by Brila, the head of Nigeria’s wrestling team, Purity Akuh, has revealed that the trio of Odunayo Adekuoroye, Aminat Adeniyi and Blessing Oborududu will be competing at the event as they intensify preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Adekuoroye is a double world medallist and two-time Commonwealth Games champion.
Adeniyi and Oborududu both joined their compatriot in winning gold at Gold Coast 2018 with the former successfully following up her triumph from Glasgow 2014.
The Hungarian Grand Prix will also begin in Gyor tomorrow, serving as the second of four UWW Greco-Roman Ranking Series events being held in 2019.
The two-day tournament will feature more than 175 wrestlers from 25 different nations.
The entry list includes a total of eight medallists from the 2018 World Championships in Budapest.
It is headlined by Azerbaijan's world champion Eldaniz Azizli, a 60kg competitor.
