In all, 44 positions will be available at the Congress in June, including first vice-president, vice-president and four spots on the World Archery Executive Board.

Five slots on the Board of Justice and Ethics are also up for grabs, as are 28 positions on World Archery’s various Committees.

The nomination process for those positions is open until March 4, with the Congress due to be held on June 1 and 2.

Further elections for athlete representatives will also take place this year at the Para and able-bodied World Championships in May.

In a statement published on their website World Archery claim they are "committed" to gender equality and so nominations for female candidates are welcome.

Currently there are only three women on the 15-person Executive Board

They add that "to ensure the impartiality" of the Justice and Ethics Board, nominations for individuals who do not hold a position at any Member Association, are also welcome.

Executive Board members and Presidents of World Archery are ineligible for election to that Board.

World Archery’s secretary general Tom Dielen is due to host a conference call to answer questions on the process and role requirements on March 1.
