Defending champions Turkey have been drawn into Group B for the Division A 2019 International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Men’s European Championships.

Turkey, who beat reigning world champions Great Britain 76-69 to win the 2017 Championships in Tenerife, have been drawn alongside Spain, The Netherlands, Israel, France and Russia.

Group A features 2017 runners-up Great Britain plus Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and hosts Poland.

The tournament, due to take place from August 28 to September 9 in Walbrzych in Poland, features the top 12 European teams and offers a qualification spot for next year’s Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

Great Britain, winners of the Championships three times in a row before losing to Turkey two years ago, will be looking to regain their title.
