The International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Team Cup Africa Qualification tournament will begin in Nairobi in Kenya tomorrow with a spot in May's finals up for grabs.

Both a men's and a women's wheelchair competition will go ahead on clay courts at the Nairobi Club over the next four days, from which one team in each draw will advance into the World Team Cup Finals.

That competition, which will go ahead form May 13 to 18, is considered the ITF's flagship wheelchair tennis team event and will take place at Israel's Larry and Mary Greenspon Israel Tennis Centre in Ramat Hasharon.

The Americas qualifier has already gone ahead, from which the United States' men and Colombia's women both advanced.

The Asia/Oceania qualifier will take place in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia from March 1 to 4, before the European qualifier goes ahead from April 2 to 6.

Last year at the Finals the men’s title was claimed by Japan, while The Netherlands picked up the women’s top prize.
