NetFest, Australia's biggest netball festival, is set to return to Queensland's Sunshine Coast for the second year running, it has been announced.

The event, due to take place in Mooloolaba and Maroochydore from October 10 to 13, will see netball fans from all over Australia and New Zealand enter teams to enjoy four days of fun and light-hearted netball activities.

It will feature outdoor and beach netball tournaments as well as celebrity matches, DJs, official parties, food and drink vendors among other things.

"I'm thrilled to again be bringing the mass participation netball event to the Sunshine Coast," Chris Symington, Netball Australia's executive general manager of events, said.

"NetFest was really embraced by the Sunshine Coast region last year with more than 2,000 participants taking part in the four days of activity, so we're excited to roll out the event in this iconic beach-side location again."

"NetFest attracts netballers from all over to take part in a relaxed tournament at an amazing location - we can't wait to showcase what the beautiful Sunny Coast has to offer yet again."

Anyone over the age of 18 can be a part of NetFest.

Early bird team registration is scheduled to open on February 19.
