Russian wrestlers won five gold medals at the Football Arena Yenisei in Krasnoyarsk yesterday, and today added to their tally with four more.

Akhmed Chakaev defeated his compatriot Nachyn Kuular 2-1 in the 65 kilograms freestyle final before Akhmed Gadzhimagomedov beat fellow Russian Magomed Ramazanov 6-2 in the 79kg final to win his fourth Ivan Yariguin title. 

Anzor Khizriev added another gold medal when he caused an upset against Olympic and two-time world champion Taha Akgul, winning 7-3 in the 125kg gold-medal bout. 

Russia's fourth gold came from Anzhela Fomenko in the women's wrestling after her opponent and compatriot Anna Shcherbakova withdrew from the 68kg final through injury. 

It was also a successful day for Mongolia, with Battsetseg Soronzonbold winning her second Yariguin gold medal by defeating fellow Mongolian Enkh Amar Davaanasan.

Sukhee Tserenchimed then comfortably beat Russia's Olga Khoroshavtseva 10-5 in the 57kg women's final. 

The competition is due to conclude tomorrow with four freestyle and two women’s wrestling finals.
