Scotland’s Stewart Anderson booked his place in the open singles final at the World Indoor Bowls Championships in Norfolk.

The ninth seed faced the challenge of England’s Les Gillett in the semi-finals at the Potters Resort in Great Yarmouth.

Anderson produced a strong performance to secure an 8-6, 8-7 victory to advance through to the final.

He will seek to secure a second indoor world title tomorrow, with the Scot having previously triumphed in 2013.

England’s Simon Skelton is set to meet Anderson in the final.

Skelton saw off the challenge of Nick Brett in his semi-final match.

He earned a 2-9, 8-7, 2-1 win over Brett.

Brett had been hoping to win the singles title for the second time in his career, following his 2016 triumph.

He has previously won the men’s pairs event in 2014, while he secured the mixed pairs title in 2017.

Skelton is a two-time gold winner at the Championships, having achieved mixed pairs success in 2011 and men's pairs victory in 2015.
