Individual men's and women's events are scheduled to be held tomorrow and will be followed by a team event on Wednesday (January 9).

Austria's Benjamin Karl currently leads the men's World Cup standings with 1,400 points having finished second at the season-opener in Carezza and third in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Italy's Roland Fischnaller, who won the parallel slalom world title in 2015, is second with 1,360 points, while Slovenia's Tim Mastnak is third with 1,240.

Mastnak and Fischnaller triumphed in Carezza and Cortina d'Ampezzo respectively.

On the women's side, Czech Republic's Ester Ledecká, who made sporting history at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games by winning gold medals in both snowboard and Alpine skiing, tops the rankings with 1,800 points.

She finished second in Carezza, behind Italy's Nadya Ochner, and first in Cortina d'Ampezzo, ahead of Switzerland's Julie Zogg.

Ochner is second in the standings with 1,400 points, while Zogg is third with 1,160.

The finals in both the individual men's and women's events will come after qualification is held.

Bad Gastein is the home of the longest-running competition on the FIS Snowboard World Cup calendar at 19 years and counting.
