The International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation Para Bobsleigh World Cup season will continue tomorrow in the Canadian city of Calgary.

The second stop of the new season will feature events tomorrow and on Saturday (December 22).

At the first World Cup event of the season in Park City in the United States, Canada’s Lonnie Bissonnette won on both days last weekend.

The 2016 Para-bobsleigh world champion finished ahead of Austria's Andreas Kapfinger on both days, while on day one the bronze was taken by Christopher Stewart from Switzerland.

On day two, however, he was replaced on the podium by Barry Schroeder from the United States.

The highest ranked woman in Park City was Norway's Guro Fronsdal, who finished 10th on the first day and then eighth on the second.

The races in Calgary will be the third and fourth of the new season, with 10 scheduled to take place in all.

In September Para-bobsleigh heard it had missed out on inclusion at the 2022 Winter Paralympic Games in Beijing.

In Para-bobsleigh the sleds are monobobs started with a special automatic launch system.
