Reigning champions Argentina and Brazil both preserved their 100 per cent winning records at the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Men’s South America Championship in Lima, ensuring their progression through to the semi-finals.
The Argentinians beat Ecuador 78-16, while the Brazilians defeated Bolivia 83-37.
The wins follow their perfect campaigns in Pool A and Pool B respectively.
Awaiting Argentina in the last four are Colombia, who overcame Chile 86-36 in the Peruvian capital today.
The other semi-final pits Brazil against Uruguay, 72-62 winners at the expense of hosts Peru.
The semi-finals are due to take place tomorrow.
Either side of them will be the seventh-place play-off between Bolivia and Ecuador and the fifth-place play-off between Chile and Peru.
The gold and bronze medal matches will be held on Friday (December 7).
The top three finishers at the tournament will secure the final places available at the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games.
Peru have already qualified as the host nation.
As the two finalists at the IWBF Central America and Caribbean Championship in October, Mexico and Puerto Rico have also booked their places at Lima 2019.
Canada and the United States are the other countries already through.
