The National Ice Skating Association (NISA) have begun their rebrand as British Ice Skating at the British Figure Skating Championships taking place in Sheffield.

The British Figure Skating Championships, which started today in Sheffield, is the first competition that British Ice Skating has hosted with its rebranded name as the organisation looks to become more modern and progressive.

Accompanying the name change is a new logo, inspired by the ideas of British Ice Skating members.

A broad range of merchandise featuring the logo has been created through a new partnership with National Merchandise.

It has also been announced that the BBC will live stream the competition on the BBC Sport website for the final two days, Friday and Saturday (November 30 and December 1).

"We are thrilled to be able to live stream the British Championships for skating fans to view around the UK and internationally," said British Ice Skating chief executive Michelle Draper.

"As our flagship event for British Figure Skating, it is fantastic we are able to showcase the highest level of British skating for everyone to see."

"We look forward to hopefully inspiring many more children and adults to take up skating.”
