World Taekwondo Europe President Sakis Pragalos and secretary general Michael Fysentzidis visited the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Belgrade to discuss the 2020 European Taekwondo Championships being held in the Serbian capital.

Pragalos and Fysentzidis were accompanied by the Serbian Taekwondo Federation vice-president, Professor Siniša Jasnić, and the local body's secretary general Miroslav Krkljes.

They met with Vanja Udovičić, Serbia's Minister of Youth and Sports, along with the acting Minister Drako Udovičić and the special advisor to the Ministry Ivana Dukić.

Discussing the ongoing preparations for World Taekwondo's flagship European event was high on the agenda.

Topics up for discussion included the formulation of the Organising Committee and the preparations being made to meet the prerequisites of the event.

Serbia won the bid to host the competition for the first time in September 2017.
