Germany have risen to first place in the team standings after the second day of dressage at the International Equestrian Federation Nations Cup Eventing leg in Boekelo.

The Germans were joint second with Great Britain at the end of yesterday’s action, but now lead the way on a score of 80.00.

Britain occupy the runners-up spot with 80.70, while hosts The Netherlands are third with 82.10.

Overnight leaders Sweden have dropped to fourth place with 87.00.

Home favourite Tim Lips continues to head the individual standings with nobody able to better the score of 19.20 he registered yesterday when riding Bayro.

There is also no change to the standings directly below with Germany’s Julia Krajewski still second on 22.60 and Britain’s Laura Collett third on 23.10.

She sits in fifth place behind Sweden’s Therese Viklund, who has 23.80 next to her name.

Cross-country is due to take place tomorrow.

It will be followed by jumping on Sunday (October 14).

France, who remain in fifth place overall after today, are hoping to wrap up the overall Nations League title.

They top the standings on 490 points, just 10 in front of Britain in second, but there are 100 points available for a win.
