Russia and the United States will contest the men's final at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Beach World Tour three-star event in Qinzhou, as the women's semi-finalists were decided.

Americans Tri Bourne and Trevor Crabb will play Russia's Valeriy Samoday and Taras Myskiv in the men's final in China after both successfully progressed from the semi-finals.

Bourne and Crabb won their last four clash against Belgium's Dries Koekelkoren and Tom Van Walle in straight sets.

The American pair won the first set 21-17, but were pushed in the second set, eventually coming through 25-23.

Koekelkoren and Van Walle will contest the third-place match against Australian's Cole Durant and Damien Schumann.

The Australian team also lost their semi-final against Russian opponents Myskiv and Samoday.

Myskiv and Samoday eased through to the finals with a 21-18, 21-14 victory.

In the women's event four teams from the US, Italy, Russia and Brazil qualified for the semi-finals.

Sarah Sponcil and Kelly Claes of the US began the day with a two set win in the second round against Brazil's Angela Lavalle and Carolina Horta Maximo.

In the afternoon they faced Serbia's Andreas Strbova and Natalia Dubovcova with another two set win to qualify for tomorrow's semi-finals.

Italy's Marta Menegatti and Viktoria Orsi Toth won both of their matches today to set up a semi-final against the American pair.

The Italians beat Spain's Amaranta Fernandez Navarro and Angela Lobato Herrero in the second round before overcoming another American pair of Kelly Reeves and Brittany Howard in the third.

The second women's semi-final tomorrow will pit Russia's Ekaterina Birlova and Evgenia Ukolova against Brazil's Ana Patricia Silva Ramos and Rebecca Cavalcanti Barbosa Silva.

The Brazilian pair saw off the challenge of Switzerland's Laura Caluori and Dunja Gerson and China's Fan Wang and Chen Xue to secure their semi-final spot.

The Russians were the only semi-finalists to be pushed to a three set match in round two or three.

Ukolova and Birlova lost their first set against Spain's Paula Soria Gutierrez and Maria Belen Carro Marquez De Acuna.

The Russian pair managed to recover to win 19-21, 21-18, 15-10.

They then triumphed easily in the third round against Betsi Flint and Emily Day of the US, 21-12, 21-11.
