Paris hosts the final stage of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) World Challenge Cup Series this weekend.

After five initial rounds at Osijek in Croatia, Koper in Slovenia, Guimaraes in Portugal, Mersin in Turkey and Szombathely in Hungary, the Accorhotels Arena will host the last two days of reckoning, starting tomorrow.

A total of 31 nations will participate in a competition that will involve Olympic champions, world and European medallists.

The same arena held 25,000 spectators when Paris hosted its World Cup Challenge event last year, when six home gymnasts won medals – a figure the hosts will seek to top this year.

Four of those home medallists will be competing in a 10-strong home team - Samir Ait Said, Cyril Tommasone, Marine Boyer and Melanie Dos Santos.

Russia will be represented by Denis Abliazin, who won on the rings in the first World Challenge Cup event of the season in Osijek.

Joshua Nathan and Sam Oldham, who earned team bronze at the London 2012 Games, will seek to earn a second gold in this series for Britain following the floor exercise victory earned in Osijek by Dominick Cunningham.

In the women’s events, Ukraine include Diana Varinska, who won three apparatus golds in Osijek.

Qualification will take place tomorrow, with finals behind held on Sunday.
