
Hosts Italy recorded their second consecutive victory at the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation Powerchair Hockey World Championships as they dispatched Canada in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
The Italian team claimed a rampant 22-0 win over their Canadian opponents in the Group A encounter at the Bella Italia Efa Village Sport Hall.
It followed their 9-5 triumph against Switzerland yesterday.
The result moved Italy to the brink of qualifying for the next round of the tournament.

In Group B, Belgium began their campaign with a confident 12-3 win against Australia.
Germany joined Belgium in winning their opening game, defeating Denmark 6-1.
The top two countries in each group will progress to the semi-finals.
Group action is scheduled to continue tomorrow.
