Ukraine dominated the podium on the fourth day of competition at the European Para Swimming Championships in Dublin, claiming six of the 19 golds on offer in the Irish capital's National Aquatics Centre.

Iaroslav Denysenko began the Ukrainian gold rush with victory in the men's 100 metres backstroke S12 final in 59.97sec, with compatriot Sergii Klippert taking silver in 1min 00.25sec and bronze going to Britain's Stephen Clegg in 1:01.52.

Maryna Verbova claimed one of three successive golds for Ukraine in the women's 150m individual medley SM4 final in 3:08.12, with silver going to team-mate Olga Sviderska in 3:11.80 and Germany's Gina Boettcher claiming bronze in 3:29.97.

Viktor Smyrnov followed up by winning the men's 100m backstroke S11 final in 1:09.96, before compatriot Kateryna Tkachuk won the women's version in 1:09.96.

The two final Ukrainian golds on the night came from Maksym Krypak, who won the men's 50m freestyle S10 final in 23.54, and Ievgenii Bogodaiko, who claimed the men's 100m backstroke S7 title in 1:12.52.

There were two more golds for the hosts as Hannah Russell won the women's 100m backstroke S12 title in 1:08.16, and Alice Tai concluded the night's action with victory in the women’s 100m backstroke S8 final in 1:08.86.
