Drafting new checklists and analysing injury statistics were on the agenda at a summer meeting of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Medical Committee.

The meeting was organised at the headquarters of the Polish Ski Federation in Kraków.

Major topics discussed included drafting medical check lists for the various FIS disciplines and a review of last season's injury statistics.

Attendees also made plans for the participation and contribution of the FIS Medical Committee at the International Sport Medicine Congresses in 2019.

Those present included German chairman Hubert Hoerterer and Norwegian and British vice-chairs Inggard Lereim and Jenny Shute. 

They were joined by wider members Eero Hyvaerinen of Finland, Henrik Faarup of Denmark, Woulter Van Den Broecke of Belgium and Stanislaw Szymanik of Poland

Former members of the FIS Medical Commission include Grigory Rodchenkov, the former director of the Moscow Laboratory who subsequently became the major witness into evidence of institutional doping in Russia.
