Russia scooped the final gold medal of the World Junior Modern Pentathlon Championships in the mixed relay today in Kladno.

Kseniia Frantsova and Sergei Baranov triumphed with a total score of 1,445 points.

They only placed 13th in the opening fencing round but were third in the swim and then dominated the riding section.

The job was then completed in style as the duo produced the best run-shoot in the Czech Republic.

Kim Unju and Seo Chang-wan took South Korean silver with 1,438 points.

France clinched bronze a further six points back through Emma Riff and Paolo Singh.

Great Britain, Hungary and Belarus occupied the next three places.
