Traditional rivals The Netherlands and Belgium will meet in the final of the Under-21 World Korfball Championships after both won their last four matches in Budapest.

The Dutch breezed past Portugal 29-5 at the Tüskecsarnok venue in the Hungarian capital with Belgium beating Chinese Taipei 25-17.

It means they have set-up a final date on Saturday (July 14) when the age group competition concludes.

The Netherlands roared into a 7-1 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back as they took Portugal apart.

Sanne Van Ser Werff was their top performer as they went through with ease.

Chinese Taipei won their group with a 100 per cent record but came unstuck against a Belgian side which pulled away in the final quarter with Tine Pirquin their player of the match.

Two classification matches will be held tomorrow.

The Netherlands and Belgium have already met in the group stages of the tournament, which the Dutch won 21-14.
