The Netherlands continued their 100 per cent start to the Under-21 World Korfball Championships as pool play concluded in Budapest.

The Dutch, the undisputed powerhouse of the sport, end Pool A with four victories out of four after their comprehensive 48-10 win over Hong Kong at Tüskecsarnok.

They will head into the semi-finals in the Hungarian capital as group winners, with Belgium finishing second in the pool to also book their spot.

They finished their group phase campaign by roaring past winless England 36-9.

Czech Republic finished third and Hong Kong fourth with only five teams in the pool due to Dominican Republic's withdrawal.

In Pool B, Chinese Taipei ended with five wins from five as they beat hosts Hungary 22-6.

Portugal defeated Turkey 19-16 and will join the Taiwanese in the semi-finals after they finished second.

China beat Germany 26-23 in the other game in the group, with the nations finishing fourth and sixth respecitvely.

Hungary came third with Turkey fifth.

The semi-finals will be held tomorrow with The Netherlands meeting Portugal and Chinese Taipei squaring off with Belgium.

Classification matches will also take place.
