Swedish town Falsterbo is ready to play host to the latest leg of the 2018 International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Dressage Nations Cup with action due to begin tomorrow.

The home nation go into the event leading the overall standings with a total of 40 points. 

They are followed by The Netherlands with 35 and Denmark with 23.

The United States, Great Britain and Belgium complete the top six with points totals of 21, 15 and 12 respectively.

Competition in Falsterbo is due to conclude with the team classification on Sunday (July 15).

That will be preceded by a series of Concours de Dressage International (CDI) Grand Prix events on Friday (July 13), Saturday (July 14) and Sunday.

Tomorrow will see the horse inspections and draws take place for the CDI three-star and under-25 events.

The 2018 FEI Dressage Nations Cup is made up of seven stops in total.

Legs have already been held in Wellington in the US, Compiègne in France, Uggerhalne in Denmark and Rotterdam in The Netherlands.

The final two will be held in Aachen in Germany, from July 17 to 22, and Hickstead in England, from July 26 to 29.
