France’s Sebastien Devred won the men’s C1 event as action concluded today at the International Canoe Federation Canoe Freestyle World Cup in Sort.

Devred scored 561.67 points to beat compatriot Tom Dolle to the gold medal at the Spanish venue.

Dolle finished on 456.67 points, while another Frenchman, Tom Lay, came third with 290.

In the men’s squirt final, Great Britain’s Alex Edwards came out on top with 706.67 points.

Poland’s Bartosz Czauderna and Tomasz Czaplicki were the silver and bronze medallists respectively.

Czauderna managed 643.33 points, while Czaplicki registered 620.

The women’s squirt final saw Hitomi Takaku lead a Japanese one-two finish ahead of Yoshiko Suematsu with the former posting 856.67 points and the former 606.67.

Rounding out the podium was Poland’s Izabela Fidzinska with 533.33 points.

Poland dominated the K1 events with Czaplicki winning the men's and Zofia Tula coming out on top in the women's.

Czaplicki triumphed with 840 points followed by Devred with 805 and Spain's Joaquim Fontane I Maso with 540.

Tula achieved an unrivalled score of 440 points in the women's competition.

Takaku and Finland's Paula Varonen shared second place with 300 points each, while France's Marlene Devillez took the bronze with 260.
