France maintained their lead after the cross country stage of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Eventing Nations League in Strzegom in Poland. 

France's team of Maxime Livio, Christopher Six and Francois Lemiere led after the dressage yesterday and stayed in front today after only accruing a combined total of 14,40 time faults.

This leaves them on a total of 107,80 with just the jumping to come tomorrow.

Great Britain's Alice Dunsdon, William Oakden and Coral Keen rose from fifth to second place after a superb cross country round in which they only registered 7,20 faults.

This put them second on 111,40.

Hosts Poland rose to third overall on 187,70 as Germany and Sweden each struggled.

The Germans registered 210,40 cross country faults to fall to fifth on 313,30.

This put them in between Italy, fourth on 189,00, and Sweden, sixth on 324,70.

Yoshiaki Oiwa of Japan, who are not fielding a team, leads overall on 30,30 after a flawless cross country clear round.

Livio sits second on 31,40 and Dunsdon third on 33,10.

Dressage leader Marie Kraack slipped to fourth on 34,90 after 8,80 cross country faults.
