Colombia's Sara Lopez secured her second victory of the Archery World Cup season as she won the women's compound event in Salt Lake City.

The three-time World Cup final champion dispatched Mexico's Linda Ochoa-Anderson with a comfortable 140-123 triumph at the Easton Salt Lake Archery Center.

Lopez was also part of the Colombian squad which defeated Chinese Taipei to earn the women's team honours.

Lopez, Alejandra Usquiano and Nora Valdez came from behind to clinch a 224-221 success.

"I'm very happy," said Lopez.

"It was a very difficult week with very tricky and windy conditions that affected not just me but everyone else.

"My goal was to win both individual and team gold medals today."

Sophie Dodemont of France took home the individual women's compound bronze medal as she beat Amaya Amparo Cojuangco of The Philippines 133-125.

The team bronze was secured by the United States, who ousted Russia 220-202.

Denmark's Stephan Hansen showed why he is the number one ranked archer in the world as he clinched the men's individual compound crown by beating India's Abhishek Verma.

Hansen booked his place in the World Cup final in Samsun in Turkey with a 140-132 victory amid tricky conditions.

"It was just crazy conditions," he said.

"Going in and practising, I was just thinking - am I going to miss the target more than once?

"But it held up fine, I was able to execute decent shots and I’m pretty happy with it actually."

There was home success for the US in the men's team compound final as the trio of Steve Anderson, Kris Schaff and Reo Wilde beat Mexico to top the podium.

The American team, currently ranked number one in the world, proved too strong for their Mexican opponents as they recorded a 231-216 win.

Chinese Taipei claimed bronze with a 221-214 victory over France.

The event in the American city continues tomorrow.
